I. Short Answer Type Questions

Answer the following questions in about 25 words :

1.What did Margie write on the page headed 17 May 2157 in her diary ?

Ans. On this page Margie wrote, 'Today Tommy found a real book!'

2.What information did Margie's grandfather give her about old sort of books ?

Ans. The information that Margie's grandfather gave her

about old sort of books that when he was a little boy all stories were printed on paper.

3. Describe the pages of the book.

Ans. The pages of the book were yellow and crinkly, and they bore words that stood still.

4. according to Tommy, are 'old books' and books on television screen different ?

Ans. Old books had the same words on pages and after reading them you just threw them. Books on television

screen they can be moved as per need, and the television screen can have millions books. You don't throw them.

5. How old were Margie and Tommy ?

Ans. Margie was eleven years old and Tommy was old thirteen years old.

6. What problem was there with the lest in geography ?

Ans. The geography sector was geared a little too quick

for an average ten-year level. Margie found problem understanding it.

7Describe the County Inspector.

Ans. The County Inspector was a round little man with a red face. He had a box of tools with dials and wires with him. 

8. The Inspector patted Margie's head. What did he tell Mrs Jones ?

Ans. The Inspector patted Margie's head and told her mother that it was not Margie's fault. He thought the geography sector was geared a little too quick, so he slowed it down to Margie's level.

9. Why had they once taken Tommy's teacher away, and for how long ?

Ans, Once they had takn Tommy's teacher away for nearly a month. The reason was that its history sector had blanked out completely.

10. When did they, as Tommy says, have old kind of school ?

Ans. Tommy says they had the old kind of school hundreds and hundred of years ago.

11. Where and how did man teachers teach ?

Ans. Men teachers taught in a special building where all the children came. He taught them things and gave them

homework and asked them questions.

12. What was Margie thinking about the old schools they had when her grandfather's grandfather was a little boy ?

Ans. She thought all the kids come together, played and laughed together and learned together the same things. They went back home together. They could help eachother in doing their homework. 

13. What was the mechanical teacher flashing on the screen ?

Ans. The mechanical teacher was flashing on the screen

"when he add fraction "1/2 and 1/4 …"‌

14. The author ends the lesson by saying 'Margie was thinking…'. What was Margie thinking ?

Ans. Margie was thinking about how the kids must have loved it in the old days. She was thinking about the fun.
