 Answer the following questions in not more than 40 words each: I) 

Question 1 How did Mrs Dorling react when the narrator said, "I'm Mrs S's daughter''?

Answer -Mrs Dorling held her hand on the door as though she wanted to prevent it from opening any further , her face absolutely gave no sign of recognition and she kept on staring at the woman in silence when the narrator said,''i'm Mrs S's daughter''?

Question 2-Why did the narrator wait a long time before going to the address number 46, Marcon Street? Answer - The narrator waited a long time before going to the address number 46, Marconi Street because after the liberation, she was not interested in all that stored stuff and she was also afraid of being confronted with things that had belonged to her mother,who was now no more. 

Question 3 When did the narrator become curious about her mother's possessions? 

Answer :After the liberation when everything became more normal again, the narrator became curious about her mother's possession.


Question 4: How was the narrator able to recognize her familiar woolen tablecloth? Answer: The narrator first looked at the woolen tablecloth. Thenclass 10 th chapter 1 letter to God short answer type questions she followed the lines of the pattern. She remembered that there was a buttock mark somewhere that had not been repaired. Finally she found the buttock mark on the tablecloth. This helped her to recognize her familiar article.
